Day 2

Spend time taking in the old town of Bruges, take a bike tour for some great surrounds or pop into a pub just off the market square with 300 different beers!

Day 3

It’s time to rise nice and early and say goodbye to Bruges and head straight to Brussels and capital of Belgium. Check out the Manneken Pis statue – (little boy taking a wee). Walk along the old town and witness some great architecture – City hall is pretty amazing! then out to down for the night with a Belgium meal – if the Belgian waffles, chocolate and beer haven’t made your belly full already!

Day 4

Today we take our campervan and stop through the fields of Belgium and Amsterdam, check out fields of flowers and windmills and how flat the land really is. There are farms along the way to stop and try some Dutch cheese, some of the finest in the world – Edam anyone?  or small little towns to look. The drive direct from Brussels to Amsterdam takes 2 ½ hours and if cities are more your thing then Antwerp, Belgium (Diamond Capital of the world) or Rotterdam, Holland (one of the largest ports in the world) are worth a stop and look on the way to Amsterdam for the night

Day 5 - 6

Arrive in Amsterdam and one of the most liberal cities in the world. We all know about the red light district and open thinking to marijuana use but once you get past you will find lovely canals, millions of bikes, awesome architecture and a city rich in history and culture. This is one of Spaceships campervans favourite cities; you can stay at our awesome space station -Camping Zeeburg  for a night or two. We do suggest check out the red light district for fascination alone but also see the Anne Frank Museum, Canal tour or do it yourself boats, Heineken Beer factory, Cycle tour or the Van Gogh museum.

Day 7

After a good day or two walking around Amsterdam we take our trip in Germany. This takes about 4 hours direct to Hanover but there is plenty to stop and look at along the way like Bad Bentheim for the old town and the Bentheim castle.  You can also stop at a place called Osnabruck with a rich history in war (2/3rds of the city was destroyed in WW2) - check out the castle and gardens before heading to Hanover for the night.

Day 8

Hanover is not your traditional architecture laden European city (due to WW2) but it has some gardens, parks and an awesome Lake. You can have a quick look in the morning before heading to Berlin which takes about 3 hours.

Day 9 - 10

Berlin, Germany’s capital is the rich in modern history dating back to WW2 up to the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 which separated East and West Germany. The city has been reconstructed from being badly hit from the war and the cold war which followed and it’s suggested to take one of the numerous walking tours available to fully comprehend the history behind the city. You cannot miss Checkpoint Charlie (fascinating museum), Brandenburg gate, Berlin Wall, German Parliament the Budestag and the numerous museums and galleries made available. As much has been reconstructed you will still find great architecture. A truly fascinating and interesting city!

Day 11 - 12

Today we rise for a long journey. We are heading to Munich, capital of Bavaria and it will take about 6 hours. Once you arrive in Munich make sure you visit the glockenspiel, German Beer Halls – (Home of Oktoberfest!), a river where you can surf – all year round, English garden and the main square the marienplatz. A great day trip if you have time is to visit the Schloss Neuschwanstein – an amazing castle and inspiration for the Walt Disney castle we are all familiar with.

Day 13 - 14

We now begin the trek back to the UK west wards but not before stopping at Stuttgart (2 hours) and then heading to Luxembourg (6 hours from Munich). We would suggest Luxembourg as a stop ahead of Stuttgart as it has more to see. In Luxembourg check out the Fortress of Luxembourg – (one of the best preserved in Europe), the Notre Dame Cathedral or the casemates – a series of tunnels under the city! You are also not far away from awesome countryside and forests for a nice scenic drive.

Day 15

A sad day today as we drive to Calais (about 3 ½ hour drive) for the ferry crossing back to Dover. Once in Dover it is about a 2 hour journey to our space depot in Hayes.

As you can tell you can travel and see so much in 2 weeks! You can adjust this itinerary to fit in more time and we suggest Amsterdam and Berlin as places you can easily extend your time due to so much to take in. The Bavarian countryside (near Munich) and Holland Countryside is also beautiful and we suggest if you have time to spend longer and get off the motorways to visit small towns and great scenic driving in these places – that’s the beauty of a Spaceship – check out which Spaceship you will take on your trip.
