Get all the benefits of the original 2 berth Spaceship plus being able to sleep another two people on the roof! The Alpha 4 berth comes with a pod that fits on the roof of your Spaceship containing a full double bed. This is ideal for families or as a cost-effective option for four adults.
Sleeping
The pod on the roof of the Spaceship contains a double bed that is easily accessible by climbing the ladder into the pod. This pod now means you can sleep 4 in your Spaceship at a fraction of the cost of a big, cumbersome motorhome or caravan
Kids love staying in the pod (or the 'top bunk' as they call it!) It's also great for two couples to have your own space in a vehicle that is very economical and easy to drive.
Sleeping inside the main part of the Spaceship is exactly the same as the Alpha 2 berth
Eating
BBQ Cooker Type: Stainless steel single burner gas element
Food Storage: 7 litre chiller/fridge and dry storage
Water Supply: One 20 litre storage container with pump and one 15 litre storage container
Cooking Equipment: Pot, frying pan and chopping board
Dining table and seat: Rear swivel seats (turn to face out side door) and attachable dining table
Cutlery and Crockery: Four x plates, bowls, cups, knives, forks, spoons, teaspoons, a sharp knife, potato peeler, cleaning gear, tea towels and a can opener
Dual Battery System
Spaceships are set up with two batteries, for your convenience. One runs the internal lights, CD/DVD player, and chiller, while the other battery starts and runs the engine. This gives you piece of mind to operate the lights, chiller and watch a DVD while the engine is not running but that it won't run the main battery down (so you can always get moving in the morning). Once you are driving the main battery re-charges the second battery for you.
This battery system gives you more flexibility and saves you money as you don't have to pay for a powered campsite like you often do in ordinary campervans.

Where to get more DVDs for Free: You are given two DVDs when you pick up your Spaceship. Once you have watched them you can exchange them for other DVDs at Spaceships' office, Space Stations and with other Spaceships.
Swivel Seat
Spaceships have a great multi-purpose seating design. The extra two seats in the middle of the vehicle are very versatile:
1 - They can provide extra seating (Spaceships are the only small camper van that can legally seat 4 people).
2 - The rear seats can be turned around to face out the side door (so you can set up the table and use it as a table and chairs when cooking/eating.)
3 - The rear seats can be turned around to face the back of the vehicle so you can add the internal bed legs and extend the bed internally when you want to sleep with the back door shut. We also recommend turning the back seats to face the back when you are extending the bed outside the vehicle (with the awning) if you are especially tall as it uniquely provides extra length at both ends of the bed!
The versatile seating system means that the majority of your bed can remain set up while you are travelling so it only takes a minute to set up your bed and/or access your storage and you do not to have rearrange everything every night and again each morning!
Storage
We found that the most important thing for storage in a camper van is that your gear is easy to access. With a Spaceship you do not have to rearrange all the interior to get to your cooking equipment or luggage, they are very simple to get to.
In the front section next to the middle seats there is storage space for your cooking/eating equipment (including cutlery, pots, plates, dishwashing liquid etc) and food as well as one water tanks and a chiller.
In the back storage compartment you can fit your luggage (at least two backpacks or soft suitcases). This section can be locked and is hidden from view below the bed for security.
