Mike Perham's World Challenge - in a Spaceship
Posted on 12/06/2013 by John Morley
You may have already heard of Mike, he was the youngest person at age 14 to sail single-handed across the Atlantic and then at 17 to sail single-handed around the world! Mike’s inspirational effort knows no bounds and he is set on a new challenge – driving solo around the world, in a Spaceship mind you.
This is part of Mike’s plan which he hatched in 2012 to become the first person to circumnavigate the globe by sea, land and air. The final challenge is flying around the world.
The Route will take Mike to over 20 countries and cover over 23,000 miles. He will take 4 ½ months to complete this epic adventure which begins on the 3rd of July, Prime Meridian Walk, E14 at 11am.
Mike’s adventures will be on behalf of Shelterbox - an international disaster relief charity – check them out www.shelterbox.org . Shelterbox provide emergency shelter ad lifesaving supplies for families around the world who are affected by disasters. Shelterbox’s goal of helping 50,000 families every year can be helped achieved by sponsoring Mike on his adventure around the world. Mike hopes to raise £1 for every mile.
Spaceships are delighted to help Mike Perham with his world adventure and will be with him every step of the way to complete his great trip in the aid of Shelter Box charity and an inspiration to us all.
